Ascend Rebrand and Assets.
Background
In February 2023, I was contracted by the SaaS company Ascend to create branding and graphic assets for their website, and for use at trade events. We collaborated closely on several iterations of the theme—ranging from clean-line tech corporate, to playful riffs on "ascension" and the "planes" that make up the company's tech stack.
Challenges and Goals
• Ascend needed assets that fit well in the tech visual ecosystem—but they still wanted to illustrate their fun side, and they did not want to appear too corporate or dispassionate.
• They wanted to analogize components of their platform and branding. The "Mountain" and "Planes" concepts were born from these features of their product.
• They wanted a near-total replacement of their existing branding, which was spun up quickly in-house.

What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
